Stunning Glacial Views

The hotel had a lovely garden where my boys enjoyed running around. The view from our room was stunning, and we even caught a glimpse of the Northern Lights! The staff was friendly and gave us great local tips for sightseeing.

For dads, it would be great if there were more family-friendly activities available.

I loved the breakfast dining area. it had a nice ambiance and the food was excellent. The location in town offered many dining options within walking distance. However, I was surprised to find there was no elevator, and I had to carry my bags up to the second floor. The staff did offer luggage assistance, but I opted to manage on my own. Although I appreciated the cleanliness of the room, the bathroom was not as presented in the images. The shower curtain looked old and dirty, and there was a slight musty smell. I also noticed the floor could use a more thorough cleaning. Parking was limited on-site, which made it a bit tricky during busy times. Overall, while the breakfast was a strong point, the facilities could definitely use some attention to enhance the experience.

I had an amazing breakfast buffet that exceeded my expectations and enjoyed the short walk to the Hofn swimming pool, making my weekend getaway both relaxing and delightful.

The Standard Double or Twin Room was pretty basic, not much to write home about. The beds were okay, enough for a night, but the bathroom was super tiny. Biggest issue was the noise—walls were paper-thin! You could hear everything from the neighbors just chatting. It really messed with our sleep. On the plus side, though, the views from some rooms are nice.

My stay at Hoefn was enjoyable, highlighted by a breathtaking sea view from my room and a delicious breakfast offering a range of choices like freshly baked pastries and organic juices. The staff was friendly and even notified guests when the Northern Lights appeared, turning a regular night into an unforgettable experience.
